The incumbent is responsible for the protection of people, property, and assets by preventing and responding to security threats. This includes tasks like patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance systems, controlling access, and handling incidents. Effective security officers need to be observant, have good communication and problem-solving skills, and be physically fit. Carry out CCTV monitoring job, often as a CCTV operator or operative, which involves overseeing surveillance camera systems to ensure the safety and security of a location. This includes monitoring live footage, responding to incidents, and maintaining the CCTV system. The role requires strong observational skills, the ability to react quickly to situations, and good communication skills.
